The city that never sleeps, but we slept?

I don’t want to bore any of you with details from my trip to New York City to visit Candice but will share a few things with you all.

I realized, not that I didn’t already know, how amazingly talented Candice is and for a moment was a little jealous. Her play (the whole reason we went) was amazing. I was feeling a little lame! But I do know that everyone has there own trials.

Oh, and her brother Jamar, is doing great too. It’s crazy; those two may have been made to live in the city! One more thing, Jamar has one of the cutest friends ever. He was soooo cute!

I was told that married people have some kind of right to argue with their parents. And being married makes you seem like more an adult. You all know I fought on that one. Everyone I went with may think I have a smart mouth now because I completely disagree with that statement.
I went with all people who have kids at least my age. This isn’t a bad thing just something to be mentioned. They get tired faster than us “young people”.
I was able to go to the temple with Sister Freeman. I think it is one of the most beautiful temples I’ve been in. It was amazing the calmness that was felt inside. In such a busy world we are so lucky to be able to experience that peace. The insane thing to think about is it is only separated by a door. While there I was mistaken for a Spanish speaking sister. That was interesting.
We ate some good food but I still felt starved half the trip. We skipped a lot of meals. I don’t like to skip my meals. I’ve become a routine person who eats meals at the same time everyday. There was one moment that I was sure my stomach was about to eat my kidney!
We didn't get to the airport in time. We got there 10 minutes before our flight was scheduled to leave. Lucky for us it was delayed and we were able to catch it. We got home super late and I still had to be at work early this morning. Suprisingly I still had dreams last night. Of all things I dreamed about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. In it they were both smoking and I was sitting there talking to them when they lit up and i was so turned off. And I stopped my intelligent question to them to lecture them on smoking. Weird dream huh.

Sounds like a fun trip. I also don't agree with the married comment. I think that we just try to act more like adults becasue we have know idea what we are doing at least I don't. Haha!! And it only gets worse when you and kids in the mix what was I thinking having another one YIKES!!

(You're so good at blogging- want to write mine?!) Now you know why I didn't come- I didn't want to experience that "Candice- envy" that was bound to happen!! But I'm SO sad I missed out on the adventure. I too am a scheduled eater- but maybe because I'm married the mature ladies would have listened to me and you wouldn't have starved... (yeah right! Married girls don't get any privilages!!). Glad you showed everyone a good time!
