I am a lover of stars! Since our spare bedroom is red white and blue I decided to add some decor. I figure if we have a baby boy while we live here we will do his room in stars so I made these for a nursery. No, we aren't pregnant, but we hope to be one day. And if we never have a boy we have some super cute July 4th decor now.

craft 2 and 3
One Project down
I've had a really hard time finding a wreath that I love to hang on our front door......so I decided to make my own. It's not perfect but I love it. And it was pretty cheap to make. As long as you don't count all the "other" things I bought while shopping at Hobby Lobby. I heart Hobby Lobby.
Here it is!

Game time
Brent and I are pretty lucky to have some really great friends. One of our best friends is Arianne! We love her and not just because she let's us do really cool things with her. But we do like that she does. This weekend we were able to go to the Memphis Grizzlie game with her and sit courtside. We don't ever want to sit in the stands again. Courtside is the best.
The cute/scary face that my husband wakes up to every morning. I'm not completely sure what I was doing here. I was trying to make a funny face for Brent to take a picture of. But I kinda just look mad. That is my angry face. But forreal, I wasn't angry. And if I was, I for sure wouldn't post a picture of it on the blog.
advent update
The ornaments are done. Now we just need to make the tree. I think they turned out super cute. This is the cute front.
And this is the back. And their is a story that goes with each ornament. I'm pretty please with it. I think we will hang it on fabric that matches our stockings. I just need to find the right fabric for them. I wanted to get them done over spring break but I won't have the fabric by then

Another sleepover
Elle and her friend Macey came for a sleepover. Well first we went to Macey's house and watched the 2 girls and Macey's twin baby brother and sister. Then we had a sleepover. Kids are hard work. But we had a good time. I had everything planned out and that helps a lot. I had craft time, and movie time, and etc etc etc.
For breakfast Brent made us his pancakes and we ate ice cream with them. That's right, we had ice cream. We always say that we don't have rules at our house. Of course we do have them but we are so cool the kids can't tell.
Friday night we pained our letters. E for Elle and M for Macey. In my head they were suppose to look a lot different. I bought paint to match their rooms and it was gonna be super cute. Well they did turn out super cute, just not the way I had imagined. Saturday morning, once the paint was dry, we put lots and lots and lots of jewels on them.
Hot Springs, Arkansas
Brent's spring break was the first week of March and we decided after a fun night with the kids and starting our new church calling, sunbeam teachers, we should take a quick trip somewhere. We didn't want to drive too far so we ended up in Hot Springs, Arkansas. And we did enjoy ourselves. It's always nice to get away and it's even nicer now that I have Brent to get away with. And I love that he does all the driving, I always offer but he declines........maybe he thinks I'm a bad driver. Either way, I get to relax as a passenger.
We toured some old bath houses while we were there. I'm not so sure we were suppose to touch anything but we touched everything. No one was around, so we felt good about it.
Because I think he's pretty cute and I like taking his picture. It was really pretty. You can see the steam coming off the water behind him.
Not the best picture of me but it was super pretty.
Sleepover time
A few weeks ago we allowed our 3 nieces that live close to us to come over for a fun night. And fun it was......and a little exhausting. We took them all to the store to pick out some delicious treats to eat and then we went home and had a movie night. We had chocolate chip pancakes for dinner and pizza for breakfast. They thought that was pretty cool. And we ate and ate and ate.
Ginny, being the big girl that she is, slept in the spare bedroom. Aubree and Elle started off in the living room but Aubree moved into the bed with Ginny (she was awake by this time).
And Brent found a new snuggle friend. Elle loves Brent and always wants to be around him. It was super cute because during our movie night the girls were all with Brent and I was left alone. I think he likes how much they like him. And I like it too.
Anne Zobell got us this super cool popcorn popper for our wedding and the kids love it. We've decided it's a mans job to pop popcorn and the kids think they need to just stare at it. They are so dang cute.
Us eating our delicious dinner. Bacon, eggs, and pancakes. I love these girls and love living close to them. We are so lucky!

It's March!
Wow, it's already March....actually it's already the middle of March. How time flies and moves so slowly at the same time. The work day moves so slowly but then it seems like the weeks are flying by.
We started March off with a quick weekend trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. It was a nice relaxing 2 days. I'm can't say we'll ever go back but it was nice while we were there. We were able to go hiking on the 1st day and then on the second day we went downtown and toured some of the bathhouses. It was fun, but mostly because we were together without any stress.
Brent was on spring break the 1st week of the month. He enjoyed relaxing and hanging out at home. We mostly finished the ornaments for our advent calendar that week. I still have to finish sewing the hooks on but that is all. Then we just need to make the actual tree, which will be super simple.
We were able to go to Jackson the first time since New Years. We went on the 5th to celebrate dads birthday. It was nice hanging out with the family.
Life is just that, life. We are as boring as you might think, and we love it. I've made a goal this week to be in bed by 9 everynight. I've been in bed, but I need to work on the whole sleeping part. I just have so much to say at the end of the day. We went and played games at another couple's house on Saturday. We really enjoyed that. We like games and we happen to like the other couple too. On Sunday we had my new visiting teaching and her husband over for dinner. I'm working on the whole getting to know people thing. Sometimes I just feel too tired to try to hard.
This week will be fun but busy. Then Monday will start again. I'm looking forward to my spring break. Where I plan on finishing a few projects and relaxing. I really wish that Brent and I had the same breaks in school. I really want to get to know his family better which would require me being around them more. I would love to go spend time in CA. And I'd go alone but would rather go with Brent. Plus both of his parents work so I wouldn't get to spend a lot of time with them anyways. And lets be honest, they would rather Brent be with me too.
I'll post pictures soon. I've taken them, I just need to put them on the computer.
