Because I'm a self respecting pregnant woman

There are a few things I absolutely hate about being pregnant and one is feeling fat all the time. But Candice said no self respecting pregnant woman doesn't post pictures so here are 2. These are 22 weeks, 5 days. As you can tell, I'm not one of those cute preggo ladies that only gain in the belly, I have gotten fat everywhere! I decided to have Brent snap a few photos since 1) I was actually dressed and 2) I had on a little bit of makeup!

I keep having to tell myself that I'm sure Elijah will be worth all this in the end. We joined the gym and while I have to be pretty careful while there, not just with the equipment but also with keeping my heart rate under 140 and not getting too hot and etc etc etc, I'm excited to hopefully start getting in better shape again. It doesn't help that I gained some weight prepregnancy.

Oh baby, you better be worth it.

A Name

I've had my children's names picked out for quite some time. And Brent has approved of them all. We knew if we were having a girl her name would be Ashlyn Rochelle Adamson. And for a boy we had it narrowed down to two names, Sawyer Michael Adamson or Elijah Reed Adamson. I love both names but I was leaning more towards Sawyer. Reed is Brent's dads name and it was also a name on my list before I knew Brent. The final decision came down to what Brent wanted. And he chose Elijah Reed. Just in case we only have one boy, which I'm sure we will have more, he wanted to give him his father's name. I was completely okay with this and I hope we have a chance to use Sawyer in the future. Plus Michael is my brother's name so it is a family name for me. Now, if Elijah could just get here so I can hold him properly and give him lots and lots of love.
I've never been so excited for Christmas to get here in my life. We will have the best gift of all, a new little baby to cuddle with and love and to teach. Oh how I love imagining what he will be like.

It's coming together

Lucky for me and for the baby and for our budget I have family members will kids. So this means we have a lot of hand me down clothes. Some are a little off season so they may not work but I think most will. We have ordered his dresser and it should be in early next week. But until then these sleepers, onesies, etc are all chilling in his crib.

We love love love these shoes. Renee' bought him the Nikes and Charity gave us the Air Jordan. Oh, I am so excited to see his little feet.......how much longer do I have to wait? And speaking of his crib, here it is. I love it! Thanks again Beth. We are lucky to have friends like you. We ordered his dresser this week and it should be here soon so we can get these clothes in drawers. His room will be in Stars and Sock Monkeys. I'm thinking about making a crib skirt to go with this but I'm not sure it will be worth it. He already has his one stuffed animal. And I say his one because I am not a fan of them so this is the only one I hope we have. And I love his bedding. I am making a sock monkey mobile and I believe my sister in law Amy is going to make him a sock monkey quilt. We will have the twin bed in his room and it has a quilt on it made by my friend Laura. So I'm thinking I may just make a sock monkey pillow case to tie it all in together. I don't want lots of sock monkey stuff just a few little things to make it look more babyish and a little less patriotic. So this is what we have so far. I feel good about where we are in having things. I know that by the time baby arrives everything will be together and ready. Hopefully Brent and I will be ready.

The Gift

I didn't post a picture to the last blog of this but these are the cute things grandma (Janana) and grandpa (Gramps) got for our sweet baby boy. I see a football them. No worries, I've already informed Brent our boys will not be playing football. that is way to dangerous. Thanks Jana and Reed for coming to visit us, for buying our boy some cute stuff, and for being all around awesome. We love ya'll and look forward to seeing you again.....hopefully soon.
