Things I'm Thankful for in 2008

I've decided to write 27 things that I'm thankful for this year. I'm grateful for so many things and have been truly blessed. I know that life is hard and rarely works the way you plan it but in the end it always works out. How can we not be grateful.

1. Of course my Family!
2. Friends. I'm so lucky to have friends that I've had since I was a kid.
3. My Health. I could be healthier but I have overall good health.
4. The Gospel! I am so lucky to have it. The Atonement, the hope, it all just works.
5. Great Food. I'm serious! I love good food.
6. Crazy People, they make me feel so much more sane!
7. Water! Without it we'd die (that is what Seth told me on the way to school today)
8. Trees, especially in the Fall.
9. The Single's Branch. This is the craziest weirdest group but I love them. They have taught me so much
10. Cell Phones, cars, TV's, the internet, all these modern conveniences.
11. The boy advice that Ginny so freely gives me. Also the way she loves me so much. I love that she told me once that she hopes I never get married because then I would have to have my own kids and I would love them more than her.
12.That I get to ride with Seth on the way to school. He is such a good boy.
13. The way Aubree has the sweetness smile but and the wittiest comments. There isn't a day I'm with her that goes by that I don't laugh.
14. The way Sunday night Sydney spent the night with us and wanted to sleep with me. She cuddled right in. She is a hard one to win over but I'm slowly getting there. And she wanted to ride with me in the car on Monday!
15. Elle, because she is the silliest girl I know. She makes me laugh! She is one crazy girl.
16. For how Will smiles at me and will finally reach to come to me. What a sweet boy.
17. The way baby Chloe loves me so much. I'm serious about this, she LOVES me. I can already tell she's excited we live so close and she will more than likely get to see me on most days!
18. Obviously my neices and nephews.
19. That my brothers and Renee' all found great spouses! I love you guys! (don't tell Jake)
20. My Parents. I'm so lucky to have them. They taught us well and I'm still learning from them.
21. The hope of a better tomorrow
22. The Temple. I love attending! I look forward to being married there one day.
23. For Crayons. I love to color, it relieves stress!
24. That I have a job. I just found out that I at least have a job until May.
25. That I can read, write, see, hear, feel, and taste. This makes life better.
26. That I've had the opportunity to visit several friends this year.
27. That I'm alive and well

Temple

I have to write this quickly because I have so much to get done today. I will add pictures later. Saturday I was able to go to the temple with Lindsay and Scott. Afterwards we were in the dressing room changing and Lindsay and I were in rooms next to each other. I was a lot quicker than she was so I got done and went and sat on a chair close by to wait for her. As soon as I was done another sister went into my dressing room and started changing. Lindsay while buckling her shoe thought it would be funny to tug on my dress under neath the dressing room. She's so silly. She walks out of her dressing room and sees me sitting there. I see this funny look on her face. It was not my dress that she had tugged on! It was so funny. Lindsay apologized and went to the restroom. I was talking to this lady (she was probably about our age maybe a little older). She said she thought it was strange and that at first she thought maybe it was an accident but who accidently tugs on someones dress. I told her we had been friends our whole lives basically and that when we get together we sometimes revert back to being teenagers. It was hillarious. I have laughed about it a few times. We also went to a magic/comedy show that night. So fun. We took pictures afterwards with some of our best funny faces, again acting like teenagers. It is so nice to have friends that you can be that way with. It was fun spending time with her and Scott. And it was great having Scott around too. He was very helpful with my cell phone!

One good-One bad

When I say bad, I mean bad. He was such a creeper. This is how it happened. We met at the Jackson Ward building Friday night. First, as most of you know, I am a very prompt person; he was late. Anyways, I get in his car and he says, I don't really know my way around this area since I'm not from here. I offer to drive my car or I can give him directions. He says, I think we should pray. I say go ahead. His response, I think you need to say it! Wierd!!!!!! I knew from that moment that I was definately not interested. Not to mention his car smelled bad and it was dirty. He asked if I wanted to see Madagascar or Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I told him we could see an adult movie but he was like no. So I said Madagascar 2. He told me he wanted to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Okay, whatever, why ask me if you already knew what we were going to see. He was so weird that afterwards he asked where I wanted to eat and I told him I was not hungry. And I meant it. I had lost my appetite. I hadn't eaten since 11am but the thought of sitting through dinner with him, no thanks. So we went to ice cream (I ate very fast) and he took me back to my car. He was like, I had a great time can we do it again. I told him I'm busy for the next 3 weeks but he can try after that. I'm definately never going out with him again!
So Saturday night I hung out with boy 2. We went to see the Secret Life of Bees which is one of my favorite books. It was fun. After we went to Sheridans for some frozen custard. Then we went back to his apartment to watch Saturday Night Live but it was a rerun. So we just hung out which was a ton of fun. He has lots of energy and sometimes I feel boring around him but I enjoy hanging out non the less. Maybe we'll hang out again sometime, who knows you can never tell with guys.
So that is my weekend in a nutshell. One good night, one bad night! I'm in Florida this week. I'm glad to be able to see Lindz and hang out with her some. I wouldn't have come to this conference if she didn't live here. So I know my life is boring but this is me. Nothing too exciting but it works for me.

So Sweet

Yesterday on the way to school I told Seth that I was so happy that he moved to Tennessee. His reply was priceless, "I missed you so much but now we don't have to miss each other any more." That's a quick way to melt my heart! He also stopped by my office today to give me a hug on his way to lunch. I love having him right down the hall from me. I want to go down there about every 5 seconds but I know his teachers are great. He also told me yesterday he wasn't going to keep going if they kept making him take naps. Then one more thing that he said was, do I have to go to school everyday? I said yes. He said, Ginny doesn't go everyday. I said, yes she does. To which he replied, she didn't go to school the day I went and played with her (Sunday). I explained that school is Monday through Friday and the weekend was Saturday and Sunday and that was the same as Ginny. He told me that wasn't everyday. I love having him around.
Sydney has turned out to be a funny and beautiful little girl. She is a little more cautious and I have to bribe her sometimes. I don't think she realizes what good friends we are going to be.
Then there is this sweet baby Chloe who is tiny. How can you love someone so instantly. I think that each time I have a new neice or nephew. I love them from the first mention of their birth and the deal is sealed when I hold them. I look at her and I see so much. She's so tiny and has so much to experience in life. It also makes me want to be a mother even more one day.
I know that it can be hard, you should have seen me pull the car over on the bypass last night, turn on the emergency flashers, crawl in the back of the van and take care of things. I'm going to be a pro one day! I'm so happy to have Mike, Amy, and their family here. I know it will be even better for them once they are settled in.

Spooktacular Weekend

So, I thought I would post some of my Halloween pictures. Below is me and my favorite dead Mime. I think he is scared I am going to try to kiss him. I didn't even try.
This is another of my favorite costumes. She was all that and a bag of chips. That's hillarious!
Below, Me and Jenn. It was a good Halloween. After the branch party we invited people of to James' house, both he and Kara were gone, and watched a movie.
More exciting news, Mike and Amy and the family are here in TN. I can't believe it. Seth starting school at my school today. He looks so cute. I keep having to fight the urges to go and check on him. He is so cute!
