Life is Good

So basically I really liked this picture so I thought I should do a blog just so I could post it. I must say that my life has been truly blessed. I am so grateful for the chance I have to live close to my family. I am able to see my neices and nephews on a regular basis and this is something that brings a lot of joy in my life.
This past weekend I went to Memphis. This is something that I basically do every weekend now. I have a lot of fun there. Friday night I went out with my friend Jenn. We were suppose to go to her place and watch a movie but instead we ended up going with her school friends to a Salsa club. It was fun but I was way too tired. And since I was planning on watching a movie I didn't have the mindset to go dancing. I felt bad because I was super lame and really ackward. Friday night is usually the night I try to get in early. I'm so tired by the end of the week that I need to catch up on this day. Not to mention this past friday I woke up so early so I could pack to go to Memphis. I got to Renee's around 2:30-3 am. I was so tired. I slept until 10 on Saturday. I can't remember the last time I slept that long. Nae and her family were out of town so that might have helped. There was no one there to wake me up.
Saturday I went to wedding reception, fun. Then I went to James to say hi to everyone and see what was going on there. I love being so close to all these family members. I am so lucky. I only stayed a minute because I had plans already. I was going to go shopping with Ben. I must say I can be quite the ackward person. When I walked into his apartment I wasn't expecting to see the one person on the singles branch whom I feel uncomfortable around. I know my eyes tripled in size. But this was good. So when we got in the car I mostly was weird and stared out the window. Once in the stores it was a lot better. The good thing about this experience was I actually like the girl way more than I thought I did. After the shopping we went back to his place, had hot cocoa (and it was the best hot cocoa ever, dark chocolate peppermint) and put up his Christmas tree. We watched SNL and the other girl left during this. I was just going to stay until it was over but somehow I stayed a bit longer. We made snowflakes. It was fun. Not to mention now I can impress people with my snow making skills. I totally laminated the one I made that night. I should post a picture. It's pretty dang good.
The picture is from Sunday. I was leaving for church they were getting home from church and I saw that we all matched. I love these girls! Church was excellent and break the fast was a lot of fun. I'm so happy to have the gospel in my life. I love having a singles branch were I can go and hang out with people that have the same standards as I do. It's incredible the way things all work out in life. Is my life at all the way I planned it, absolutely not. Is it better or worse, no. It's just diffferent but like I said before I'm just trying to live it and I'm grateful to have the chance to do this. I know that I complain a lot but in the end I am so blessed that I need to open my eyes and see what I do have.

What's the point

Do you ever have days were it seems that everytime you think of something the response that comes to mind is "WHAT'S THE POINT". I am having one of those days. I guess on my journey to figure things out I become more confused. I would think that at some point in life things would make since. I am constantly telling people we can only do what we can do. I just wish I had a little more control! That would nice. Anyways, I'm just being a little contemplative. I hate thinking too much. I always say we choose our future but I don't know if that is completely true. We make decisions that help us get closer to our goals but we can only control our own actions. LIFE!!!! I'm just trying to live it!
