Life or Something Like it

I'm constantly amazed at how people are so diverse. Some fascinate me (these are most of you. I'm friends with most of them), some bore me, some bother me, and some I look at and realize they just don't get life.
On my connecting flight to Idaho Falls I sat beside a man who was 70, he really only looked 60. Anyways, that is really not my point. He was a different character. I know all about him and I'm going to give a brief synopsis. He has been a pilot for 50 years starting in the navy, then he went commercial and now he has private jets. He was on his way to pick up a new one. I asked if he had a jet why he was on our plane. How was I to know? He kept asking if there were men in my life, what I thought of older men, etc. Yes, he was married. I think he was hitting on me but who knows. I might just be flattering myself. I quickly found my i-pod and put it in so I would have to continue listening. He was quite the talker.
Why is it that it seems like everyone is interested in everyone else's dating status. You go to church and people ask. You talk to your friends and they ask. I think that if there were any new prospects I would excitely tell my friends about them. They would not have to ask. Not to mention I currently live in an area where there are zero single LDS men.
Anyways, I have to agree with my friend Candice, 2008 is a great year. As much as I may complain about being in TN, living with my parents, etc, I know I am exactly where I'm suppose to be at this point in my life. I tried to fight it for a long time but sometimes you are put in places you least expect and least want. For what reason I do not know but I know it is right. Life is a journey and sometimes you feel lost but as long as you rely on the Spirit you will be okay.

Can a Country Girl Really Survive?

I grew up in the back woods of Tennessee. Literally the country. When I was younger I dreamed of living in the city. I wasn't much of an outdoor person. I hated the bugs, the heat, basically being outside the house.
I was thinking about this last night. Before my walk with my dad last night we went to check on our horse, Bella. We tie her up in some fields behind our house so she can graze. Anyways, while dad was working on that I decided I wanted to climb a tree. I don't know if I ever really did it when I was younger. So dad took a picture as I started to climb. Silly huh but I really liked it. It has taken my almost 27 years to embrace the country. Does it mean I want to always live in the country and never any where else. Heck No but for now I enjoy it and might always.
As for walking with my dad I love it. Everyday after work I go walking with my friend Nina and her cute and kind daughter Penelope (she rides in the stroller and eats her snacks). We walk a little over 3 miles and I really enjoy this time. It is good exercise and even better I enjoy being social. Then on Tuesdays, Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays I go walking with my dad. I will come home from Nina's house, grab a quick bite to eat then me and dad will go walk. We have been doing 4 miles. Many of you are now wondering, wow, I bet she has lost weight, and we all know I have a lot to lose. Nope, not a pound. Maybe I shouldn't bother since it doesn't help but I will try to keep it up. I have to tell myself I am healthy on the inside. Too bad people don't see things that way, especially boys!

Once upon a time

Once upon a time there was a girl looking to find "true love". She was smart, funny, cute and had a lot going for her. Who would have thought finding "true love" was so hard. She went out with rats!

She went out with some that didn't even seem real. As seen above she even kissed a few Pigs. There were pirates (or those who seemed to be).

She searched high and low and still no "true love". She swam the ocean.

She got her hands dirty looking, it's hard work.

Then one day she realized life is an adventure even withone looking for "true love". She got smart and realized you have to experience things and learn from every life lesson. She wondered why it took so long to figure it out but she did and for now she is living happily ever after. Yes it is possible to be single and live "HAPPILY EVER AFTER". And if one day "true love" comes that will be good. If not that's good too. I love the freedom!

AND THAT IS NO BULL!

Life is an Adventure

So, most people who I know who have a blog have cute kids, are newly married or have some super exciting life. I have none of the above but I've decided who cares! I'm not forcing people to read it so there. I thought about posting everything I eat everyday but how boring would that be. Not to mention scary. I don't need to know that so neither do you.

I'm at work right now and should be writing my report that is due next week. I decided to start a blog instead. Smart huh. I know most people think that I have a whole week so why stress about the report. Well first of all IT'S MY JOB and second of all NEXT WEEK IS SPRING BREAK. I don't believe in working over Spring Break. I would say I need to rest from all my thinking but I've been helping with Jump Rope for Heart all day. I wish you could see Pre-K and K trying to do anything with a jump rope. They are not that coordinated but then again I tried and I wasn't either!

I leave Saturday to go and visit family in Idaho. I look forward to seeing my brothers and sisters and their families. No matter how mad family makes you, it's hard not to get excited when you get to see each other after not being together for a while. I am planning on going to the Rexburg Temple with Becky. I am looking forward to this because as most of you know I spent two years of my life in Rexburg.

Well I am going to try not to bore anyone too much. But I will keep you posted. Maybe I will do something really fun and adventurous then you will be able to read about it. Maybe one day I'll write about my crazy dating life or my crazy dreams I've been having! I don't know if I want to post that kinda stuff on the internet. No telling who would read it.
