Motherhood

The past 3 weeks have been quite an adventure. I've smiled a lot, laughed a lot, cried a lot, and all together I've learned a lot. I am so excited to have this little guy with us. It hasn't been easy. I've been in a lot of pain from an infection that won't go away. The doctor cut into it yesterday and that really hurt. I've had a pinched nerve from the c-section. The carpal tunnel only went away in my left hand and the right seems worse. It's sometimes hard to even hold Elijah it hurts so bad. I've had an overall hard recovery. But having him here has so been worth it. He is a little colicky, so it breaks my heart when he is crying and can't be consoled. But then when he smiles, it melts me. He is my precious baby boy.
