The most wonderful time of the year

Today is Christmas day and we have so much to be thankful for. It is so nice to be able to celebrate the birth of our Savior. He has given me so many things to be grateful for.
A year ago I can't say I thought I'd have my very own bundle of "joy" on Christmas. It's crazy how things can change in a year. We are so glad to have Elijah as part of our family! We look forward to spending many many many Christmas together.
We got lots of fun gifts this year.
Sandra to Brent: An Iphone, a 9 millimeter gun, and a remote control helicopter. He was a very good boy this year and was the best husband a pregnant woman, or any woman, could ask for.
Mom and Dad Eaton to Brent: His Batman video game that I would not buy him.
Mom and Dad Adamson to Brent: A Watch and Temple pants.
Brent to Sandra: A lot of lotions, candles, a "spa" day that includes, manicure, pedicure, facial and massage, luggage, baby monitors, a baby bottle holder, I'll love you forever book.
Mom and Dad Eaton to Sandra: An Elf on the Shelf and a Pedicure
Mom and Dad Adamson to Sandra: The wisemen to add to my nativity and an apron.
Mom and Dad Eaton to Brent and Sandra: Money!
Mom and Dad Adamson to Brent and Sandra: 17 Miracles bluray, an Adamson plaque, all four children's scripture books.
Nana and Papa Eaton to Elijah: A tummy time mat, carseat toy and bath toys.
Grammy and Grandpa Adamson to Elijah: An outfit, BYU blanket, BYU bib, BYU beenie, Nativity book, a book.
Beck to Elijah: Baby einstien book.
Farrell's to Elijah: Blocks.
James and Kara Eaton to Elijah: Interactive zoo toy.
Grandma Janopaul to Elijah: Nike onesies and hangers.
Grandma Janopaul to Brent and Sandra: Subway gift card, Doctrine and Covenant study book, Santa salt and pepper shakers.
Farrell's to Adamson's: $50 Visa giftcard
Melissa to Adamson's: JC Penny giftcard.

We had a fantastic Christmas.....mostly. Elijah was a bit fussy and Brent didn't feel to well but it was an overall good day. We were able to go to church and sing hymns, my favorite thing to do on Christmas. Then we were able to eat at James and Kara's. Mom, dad, Becky, Papaw and Lucille were all there to eat as well. Family is the best and we feel lucky to be able to live close enough to spend so much time with ours. We came home from dinner and was able to skype with the Adamson family. We were able to surprise them by telling them we will be coming to visit in just 5 days! We are so excited to see them and for them to see Elijah. We miss them so much and hate living so far away.
Yesterday on Christmas Eve we went over to James's to make the Adamson sugar cookie recipe. We also had hot chocolate and watched a movie.
And now we are sitting at home enjoying each other's company. I am blogging, Brent just started playing his new game. I am thinking I should try to put some of this Christmas away while Eli sleeps. Family is what holidays is all about.

BTW Grandma Janopaul feels bad that she goofed. The SANTA salt and pepper shakers were for BJ and Liz. You two were to get snowman shakers. She's 80 and she's making mistakes. Maybe Elijah's blue hat went to Liz also. Who knows?
