We had a perfect Valentine's day! It was great. Of course life is life and I had to go to work and Brent had to go to school but we enjoyed the evening a ton. I decided to wake up early so I could look cute for work so that I wouldn't have to rush home to get re-ready for the day. I got home from work and Brent was already home....this is rare! I went upstairs and on the counter was a very pretty bouquet of flowers with a "nice" little note, which made me laugh outloud......more than once. I still chuckle when I think about it. He was waiting for me in our room with another surprise. He had me chocolate covered strawberries. I love love love chocolate covered strawberries and him of course. We had dinner reservations for 6:30. We ended up missing them so we called and canceled. Instead we called an order in to Outback, picked it up, brought it home, rented a movie, Red, and snuggled on the couch.
It's funny to think what home bodies we are. We love being at home. It's nice and we really do enjoy each others company. We decided since it was Valentine's day we could skip working out so we didn't have to rush everything just to work out. It was nice and perfect for us. We were able to just have on our comfy clothes. Lounge on the couch, just be together.
Seriously, I have the best husband in the whole wide world. We laught together all the time, we enjoy being together, we are happy and we are in love. There isn't a better feeling. I love it! Just in case you can't tell, I'm so happy! Happier than I thought was possible. Yes, it is a lot of hard work, and I am tired most of the time, and life won't slow down, but it is as it should be. And I am grateful for it. It's the little things that count. We don't have a lot of time we are both home together. So we have to choose wisely how we spend our time together. I love our routine. I love cooking him dinner, eating together, working out together, reading our scriptures together. Sigh, life is good.
