Bachelorette Time

I had the most amazing weekend. So much fun that between Friday and Saturday night I got about 7 hours of sleep total. But it was worth it. It was a blast.
Friday night Brent came to Jackson and we went to a singles dinner thing in the Jackson Ward. They asked us to come since it would be our last single's activity. Considering I had not been to any of their single's activities, they are all older adults, I said we would go. Then afterwards we met my friend Stacey and her boyfriend Gabe at the downtown tavern. We mostly just sat upstairs on the couches and talked for a while. Brent and I left by 11. Let's be honest, if you don't drink you really only want to be at a bar for so long. But we had fun while we were there. Then we went home and caught up on watching community for the next 2 hours. We stayed up and talked for a little while then we went to bed.
Saturday I heard dad around 5:30 say it was going to rain and for some reason I decided it would be a good time to get out of bed. So dad left to go chop wood and I went back to the room Brent was staying in and woke him up. I thought it would be a good idea for us to go walk at the park before it rained. I wanted to get some exercise in that day. So we left around 6 to go to the park. When we got back we went to help dad at Mr. Johns then came home and I made breakfast. We went to go visit Mr. John, then we went to go visit Papaw. Then papaw took us to lunch. By this time I needed a nap but there was no time in my schedule so we ran our other errands then headed back to Memphis. So yes, it was a busy day but this is where the real fun begins. My Bachelorette Party.
First, I need to say that Anne Zobell and Brenna McCree are 2 of the best friends a girl could have. As in, you should be jealous they aren’t your friend. Because these girls are not only the type of friend you can depend on for anything, they can also throw a party like it’s no one’s business. And that is exactly what they did for me, again. They had everyone meet at a place that teaches pole dancing. The teacher started off by teaching us a chair dancing routine. This is different from a lap dance. In a chair dance your partner would not be in the chair but just watching. Everyone had tons of fun while learning this. I need to practice. I will use it at some point in my future. And I already have my outfit planned for it. Actually the teacher helped a little with the outfit because she told was what we were supposed to wear but I have the bra and panties picked out already. Then we were taught some moves on the pole. And I must confess, I loved the pole, it was a blast. I love that my friends and family (who ofcourse are my friends too) came dressed in fun outfits.
Afterwards we went back to Brenna McCree’s house for some food, that class was a workout. And I was able to open my gifts. And I got some really cute gifts. I got three different white lingerie’ and one naughty black one. I loved them. Then a few of us, and by few I mean Brenna, Anne, Beth and myself, headed downtown for some more fun. They made me veil that had condoms glued all over it that I wore all night. We went dancing in a club. I believe that veil gave every man on Beale St the right to touch me. I even had some married guy go a bit too far. I was exhausted by the time I got home. Beth came back to my apartment with me and spent the night. She got up at 6:30 to head back to Jackson and I decided to go ahead and get up to. I feel a little bad for Brent because I also woke him up so we could get some things in our apartment taken care of.
I took lots of pictures of my Bachelorette Party but probably won’t post many. Even though my blog is private the other ladies might not want their pictures up. But we had a blast.
Who all came: Renee Farrell, Charity Dilgard, Kara Eaton, Anne Zobell, Brenna McCree, Arianne Blair, Beth Pennington, Kelly Massey, Karen Massey, Julie Bennett & Lara Hubbard.
