A Good One

Last night dad askend me to get the scripture. I have been reading from the Doctrine and Covenants lately but decided to grab one from the Book of Mormon.
One night on the cruise Amy and I were chatting and talking about the Lord's timing. She said she was young when she married Michael, only 19, but she knew that it was right. It was the Lord's timing. I joked with her that when I die I am going to have a talk with Heavenly Father about this timing business. And while I was joking I was a little serious. Because I feel as if I hear on a semiregular basis that it's all about timing. And I don't always understand.
Anyways, I found this scripture last night and it really fit.
Alma 34:41, "But that ye have patience, and bear with those afflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions."
How great is this. It was exactly what I needed to read at that moment. I have a lot of internal debates! It's who I am. I am constantly questioning things and why they are the way that they and not the way I want them to be. Can I have patience? Can I bear my afflictions. I don't even have any "big" afflictions in my life.
I have blogged about my cruise but I am waiting to post it so I can post pictures with it.
