Just thought some of the family would enjoy this. There are a few things I love about this picture. 1) I love how old it is. This is, as you can tell, before Charity! 2) What is it with Renee's hair. 3) Umm, our clothes, this was the 80's. 4) I love how close mom was/is with her parents. My dad isn't even the photo with us. 5) Looking at this picture reminds me of how much fun it was to have a large family. Yes, we fought, a lot, but we were friends. We ran outside together, swam in the "Lake", walked on wheel barrows, played Ninja turtles and barbies, we were all partners in crime. It was so much fun. Not to mention Mamaw and Papaw always spoiled us. When we were young Renee and I use to spend the night over there all the time. They would take us grocery shopping with them and let us get all sorts of yummy snacks. They also paid us for helping clean the house and mowing the yard. Those were good days. I am still glad that I have each of my sisters and brothers. We still fight, but we are all best friends. I know that I can depend on any of them for anything.
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck
