Welcome Welcome 3rd Trimester

Oh me oh my, I am getting fat fat fat! But I couldn't be happier for the reason. I am not in love with being pregnant. I kinda hate it......a lot. With that being said I feel so blessed to have this little guy destroying my body, adding stretch marks, making me feel sick, hurting my back, kicking my bladder, etc etc etc. I'm not necessarily one that wants to show myself looking this fat but since this blog is used as a journal of sorts I thought I should post a few pictures for my future posterity.

That is a big ole tummy and to accompany my tummy my butt has decided to double in size as well. Yay! No matter how much I exercise I keep getting bigger.

I'm real nervous about my dr's appointment on friday. I'm not nervous for the glucose test but I am nervous about being weighed. Ugh, I don't love seeing the scales move move move.

Baby Shopping

I have always enjoyed baby shopping. Before it was always for my nieces or nephews but it is even more fun to do since it is for my own kid. It has been a lot of fun picking out stuff for Elijah but it has also been a little overwhelming. I think I have researched every possible baby item. Then decided if we needed it or not. Then I chose the top rated of it's kind for safety etc. Then I realized that if you want the best of things you have to pay a higher price. I have completely justified it by saying that all my children will use these items. And I'm hoping that is true. So this week I went shopping and I bought our car seat and stroller. I had a coupon so it was even easier to justify. Before the discount tax and all they were $380.00 but after my discount they were $275.00. I am so in love with them.
Brent loved them too. I wasn't sure if we would keep them or return them. But I guess we are keeping them because when I went out with my friends one night Brent put them together. It's so fun how excited he is for this little guy to get here. For about a day I felt like we should just get a cheaper one but Brent said no that our boy would have the best. Man oh man I love being married to him.

BYU vs Ole Miss

I guess love will make a girl do crazy things. I went to the University of Utah and I am proudly a Utes fan! They are the only team I'll watch on TV. Some how I fell in love with a BYU alumni and even crazier I decided to go the a BYU game and cheer for them. And to top it all off, I did this 6 months pregnant in September in the South and it was a hot hot hot day! And I even did it with a smile on my face. Like I said, love makes you do crazy things.
Our friend Arianne had two extra tickets and she invited us, I know we are super lucky! We met up with Ari and with Brenna and headed down to Ole Miss in Oxford Mississippi. BYU actually won and it was pretty incredible. Both teams played horribly and BYU didn't even score until the 4th quarter but it made the 4th quarter pretty interesting. Brenna explained football to me! I'm lucky to have such great friends......and a great husband.

Brenna is not a BYU fan but even she got excited at the end of the game. This is before the game on our way to the grove. Those Ole Miss people really know how to tailgate.

We had to get our picture with the ultimate BYU fans. Those guys were crazy.

It was an awesome time with awesome people. The only thing that could have made it better would be if it were 68 degrees outside and if we didn't have to park 2 miles away. At least we got our exercise in.

Quilt

Ginger, Amy's mom, is a very talented quilter and she is kind enough to make baby blankets for us when we have babies. I'm really excited for this. Her quilt she made us as a wedding gift is one of my favorites. I knew I wanted a sock monkey quilt but it's not something you can run to the store to get. I asked Amy to make it for me and she recruited her mom. I'm so lucky to have such awesome people in my life.
It won't be those colors and it won't be that big but I love love love it. When I thought about her making one I thought it'd be a quilt just made with sock monkey fabric. I didn't know it would be this great. I'm so excited for it to get made and to have it in my nursery.

Baby dresser and mobile

Brent got the dresser all put together and I love it. It's wide enough and low enough for us to put a changing pad on top of for Elijah. And there will definitely be a diaper geenie on the side there. I like to make stuff for the little guy even though I know babies don't really care. But I still made him this mobile. And I really like it. Brent is going to get it hung this weekend. Stars and sock monkeys. I think it turned out pretty cute. I'd like to go ahead and buy everything else we need/want but just in case anyone at the baby shower wants to get us something I better hold off. I'm super excited to have everything all done and together. Even if we have a few more months. 9 months of gestation is a really lon
