I have always enjoyed baby shopping. Before it was always for my
nieces or nephews but it is even more fun to do since it is for my own kid. It has been a lot of fun picking out stuff for Elijah but it has also been a little overwhelming. I think I have researched every possible baby item. Then decided if we needed it or not. Then I chose the top rated of it's kind for safety etc. Then I realized that if you want the best of things you have to pay a higher price. I have completely justified it by saying that all my children will use these items. And I'm hoping that is true. So this week I went shopping and I bought our
car seat and stroller. I had a coupon so it was even easier to justify. Before the discount tax and all they were $380.00 but after my discount they were $275.00. I am so in love with them.

Brent loved them too. I wasn't sure if we would keep them or return them. But I guess we are keeping them because when I went out with my friends one night Brent put them together. It's so fun how excited he is for this little guy to get here. For about a day I felt like we should just get a cheaper one but Brent said no that our boy would have the best. Man oh man I love being married to him.

Yeah, don't cheap out on the stroller or car seat. If you buy a good car seat, they can actually ride it in for quite a while, depending on how big your baby gets and how quick. Sarah was able to ride in her "infant" carrier until she was 1. And even then, she probably could have ridden in it a little longer because we got one that went up to 25 lbs. (She's just now 27 lbs). But we went ahead and bought her a big girl car seat when she was 1. And the stroller you'll use A LOT and with each kid. It's nice to have a big cadalliac stroller for trips to the zoo and stuff like that. Even though when he's a little bigger you'll probably just get a cheap umbrella stroller for little trips. Don't forget to check consignment sales and garage sales for things like bumbos, swings, and bouncey seats. Those are nice to have but not worth the money buying brand new. I wish our kids were going to be a little more spread out or I would gladly share baby gear with you.
We have the same carseat and love it!
I must live in a cave... Didn't even realize you were pregnant. Pretty awesome. You should know that most car seats have an "expiration date" of sorts. They are not meant to be used more than 6-7 years after their manufacture. I just found that out recently. But if not all of them, at least we can use these car seats for 2 or 3 of them.
I did know they had an expiration date but everything
I read online said they should be good for 10 years and all my kids will be here by then.
