Friday, November 5th, the girls I worked with at Le Bonheur decided to have a dinner to celebrate me getting married. These girls are hilarious and some of my first friends I made when I moved back to TN. Le Bonheur was my first real job. And I know I will always be friends with these ladies.
They started out with cocktail hour. It may have been in honor of me and I may not drink but that isn't going to stop these girls from having a good time. They were nice enough to name the cocktails after me. We then had dinner. Chicken Parmesan, rolls, and salad. It was delicious and I later regretted eating so much. We then moved to the living room for more drinks and lots of talking and laughing. These girls know how to have a good time! I'm sad they won't be at my bachelorette party too. They would just add to all the spunk that I already know will be there.

Jackson Bridal Shower
But the party was fun fun fun. We started off with some Wedding trivia where I scored a 50%, I guess I don't know too much about weddings. Then they all decided to give me some advice. This was fun. They gave their advice then wrote it down on a frame matte so I can always have it.
We then played the toilet paper bride game. They broke into groups of 3 and made a complete wedding dress, bouquet, flowers, veil out of toilet paper. I loved it and these ladies are super creative. I'm so glad I got to celebrate this time with these women. They have each impacted my life profoundly and I am grateful for them in my life. Some have been there since nursery, some since childhood and some just a few years or months but each are special to me.

And?!?!?!
Ha, I think everyone thinks I've abandoned my blog so I have not readers. Sad day.....but I mostly do it for me anyways. It's hard to believe that I have only 29 days left before I am Mrs. Adamson. That also means I have only 29 days to get a whole lot of stuff done!
I think if it were up to my mom she would have all my stuff out all ready. It is a little disheartening when you know your parents are excited for you to leave and they want you to take everything that you own so they can do as they please with your room. When I came home Sunday night I noticed some of my things had been moved. They were trying to move it around to get there stuff in there. I've kindly asked for them to wait until I move out to kick me out. I'm a little surprised my mom hasn't boxed everything for me. Our apartment will be ready tomorrow for us to start moving in to. We signed our lives away to the apartments this past Saturday. I know Jackson isn't too far from Memphis but it is just far enough that it isn't convenient to drive back and forth with loads of stuff. Plus gas is really expensive.
We have been furniture shopping a few times. It is a lot of fun, for me at least, but a little overwhelming. I wonder if Brent misses the simplicity of a single man's life style, ugly ripped couches, mismatched chairs, twin beds (though I'm pretty he wont mind switching to a queen since he gets to share it with me), playing video games instead of furniture shopping, etc.
I just realized that the reason no one is reading my blog is because all I talk about is wedding stuff. Sorry ya'll, it is consuming my life right now. Actually, that is what almost everyone wants to talk to me about. The question I hear most is, How's the wedding coming? Then everyone is curious about the dress.
Speaking of the dress, one of my best friends, Candice, is making my dress. I try not to ask her about it too often but I am so anxious to see it. She is so talented so I'm not worried about it just curious to see what it looks like. I sure do hope I look good on my wedding day. And you may think everyone looks good on their wedding day, but that is false. I've seen some rough looking brides in the past few years with dresses that look they came from the 80's. You know how that goes.

1st Bridal Shower
Yesterday after school my friend/coworker Stacey gave me my 1st bridal shower. It was at school and of course the whole faculty was invited. Ms. Elaine, the principal, even let us have the party in lieu of our normal staff meeting and just emailed us out notes on what the staff meeting would be on.
I was a little overwhelmed with the thought of a work shower. I didn't want people to feel obligated to come or get me a gift but it turned out perfect. I got lots of fun and useful presents. The best part was they had them all opened and displayed when I came in so I didn't have to sit there awkwardly and open gifts in front of people. There were no speeches just people eating and socializing with each other.
I work with a lot of really great people. They are the people that I see 5 days a week. They are some of the constants in my life. And at times I complain about my job but I love these people. I'm glad that I got to celebrate my new beginning with these people. Some are just coworkers, some are friends but they all hold a special place to me. Most genuinely care about me and each other. I know they don't read my blog but I want to thank them anyways.
Thank them for the gifts, for the friendship, and for being a part of who I am. There is no other work place I would want to celebrate this with other than them. I'm incredibly grateful for them.
Stacey put a lot of hard work into it. She had the perfect invites, It was the picture of me and Brent with the words I love him written on my hand and underneath it said,
Engagement pictures- $250
Shoes to wear under the dress- $100
Finding the right man- Priceless
How cute is that. She made sure I had all my favorite desserts there, she found the perfect napkins (and I know this sounds silly but she knows me well enough that when the person she assigned napkins to brought the "wrong" ones she went and took care of it herself), I even had mints there with the letter A.
Funny enough someone got me monogrammed towels with the letter A on them and at first I was real confused. Then I remember my new last name will be Adamson, I can't wait.

Wicked!
This past Saturday night my oh so wonderful fiance' took me to see Wicked! I did see it last year but it was even better this year. I'm not sure if it was because I caught onto the foreshadowing or because our seats were only 10 rows back. I really think it is because I got to see it with Brent. And being with him makes everything just a little more Enjoyable. I really do love this man. I know you can all make fun of for the things I've said in the past. I remember saying so many times you can't love someone in that short of a time period, you don't even know them, etc etc etc. But I am grateful everyday for being proved wrong. I look forward to sharing every experience with him, the good and the bad....but mostly the good. He is the kindest man I've ever met. He loves me in spite of myself and believe me he has seen my worst self. I love you Brent. I can't wait to start our eternity!
Before the show @ Charity's apartment. He was so cute. When I got in the car he had me a present waiting in the car. What was it you may ask, A blueray copy of Beauty and the Beast. My favorite Disney movie. Along with a cute but cheesy note.

I love his goofy smile when I kiss him. He may be the dorkiest guy I've dated but man do I love him.

Us at the Orpheum during intermission. Wish we would have gotten a really good picture outside but we were almost late and afterwards it was too crazy. I think we are pretty dang cute together.
