You've had a birthday, shout hooray.

You'd had a birthday shout hooray!
Today is Brent's 29th birthday. And as I was laying in bed this morning I was so grateful to have him next to me, grateful he's the person next to me at night. The thought came to me, I do want to celebrate Brent today and I am so grateful for his birth and his mother for giving him birth.
My husband is here because of his parents. Jana, his mother, chose to carry him for those 9 long months. Then had to go through the delivery. Then the hard part she had to raise him. I'll forever be grateful to her for birthing my husband, raising him right, and teaching him the gospel.
We don't have lots of birthday plans today. I'm cooking ribs, squash, zucchini, asparagus, rolls, and baked potatoes. I'm getting him an ice-cream cake. I bought streamers to decorate with and balloons. Elijah bought his daddy the game, guess who. And we plan to go to the temple this evening. A simple day, nothing exciting but we get to spend it together.
Thank you mom and dad A for having such an awesome son. I'm grateful to you both this day. Without y'all, there would be no Brent. And that just wouldn't be acceptable. .

Thanks for the kind words, Sandra. Brent was an easy child to raise. He came from Heaven with many of the good traits you love about him. We probably can't take too much of the credit. Ha ha! (Or the blame....!!)
