What, it's April, What happen to March

Wow, most weeks I feel go by so slowly but then before I know it, the month is past and I'm left wondering, what did I accomplish the month before! March was a great month and we had lots of fun. This past week was my spring break so I was able to craft a bit. I also got a trial week membership to Kara's gym and I was able to work out with her and with Ari a lot. I loved the gym but it's not in our budget. Too bad, because it was so super nice. I enjoyed sleeping in past 5am, hanging out with my friends and family and not being exhausted when Brent got home in the evenings. While my week was busy and fun, Brent had a pretty stressful week. He had a few test plus his clinical checkout was this past Friday. Needless to say, most of his week was spent in the lab and studying! I missed him not hanging out with me but he is sure he passed and that means in a few weeks, maybe 5, he will get to start seeing patients. His second year, which is considered the hardest, is almost over. He will be a 3rd year the second week of May. Wow, that is so super soon. I was a good wife and went to the school with him a few times and let him practice on me. I'll be glad for his second year to end. Though, I am positive the 3rd and 4th year will be stressful too. For his 4th year he gets to choose 2 extern sites and he has to do 1 at SCO in the clinic. I told him, way long ago, before we were married, that I wanted him to try to set one up in California. They are 4 month rotations and it'd be fun to live near his family for those months and for me to check Cali out if it's going to be on the table for me to spend the rest of my life there. Most externships are at set locations and you just choose but there happens to not be any in the Sacramento area. You can try to get one set up but my dear husband, decided he didn't want to ask so it's not even a possibility any more. I really wish he would have! Oh well, I guess it's his choice. He wants to do all 3 of them in the Memphis area. Also, this past week we had our first house guest over the age of 10. We are very use to having kids stay with us but we actually had grown-ups stay with us. Ben Dixon and Allison Hoffman both flew in to take their last set of boards for Optometry. It was super fun having them stay with us. Allison was so cute with all the little baby nephews! We mostly just chilled but that worked for us. Hopefully we didn't bore them too much. Nothing too new is going on in our lives. Things are going great! We are still blissfully happy, it even makes me gag sometimes at how incredibly happy and mushy I've become. Marriage is way better than I could have ever imagined! I couldn't be happier. I know that I am one of the luckiest girls alive! On a very cute side note, my mother has decided she is ready for an Adamson grandchild. I told her we can't afford it, diapers are expensive, so being the very clever mother that is she, she has started buying diapers for us. So we will have a good reservoir when we do have a baby. She's so cute. I actually like that she tries to get us to have a kid. Our plan all along was to start trying in July or August of this year. That isn't too far away. That would make it where I could work another school year to support our family. Motherhood sounds so exciting and challenging. Hopefully 2012 will be good to us.
