Wendell Berry wrote, "Always...when you leave familiar ground and step off alone into a new place there will be, along with the feelings of curiosity and excitement, a little nagging of dread. It is the ancient fear of the unknown, and it is the first bond with the wilderness you are going into."
I've been thinking about the unknown. I'm not moving so it is a little different for me than going to a new place but I've been thinking about life. We never know when one small action can have a major consequence, we can't control others or their feelings so anytime you are interacting with new people you face the unknown.
It's crazy, life is full on unknowns but we do know the ultimate end. How strange! We don't know how we are going to get there, when, or anything else but we know the ending. I am glad for that hope. The ending is solid, it's the in between that can be so scary. There are times in between that we question life, our purpose, our worth but at the end of the day we, at least I and hopefully you, know we have loving Heavenly Parents.
I know this was random, I was just thinking how unpredictable life is and it made me remember the above quote that I had in my handy dandy quote index.
Now, a quick shout out to Candice, Happy 27th Bday. This year is going to be the best one yet.
Becky, congrats on getting in to BYUI. I'm really excited for you. Good luck with your studies!

Wise, wise words. I thought this one was uplifting. You never know what the future holds.
Your telling me!! A month ago all I was looking forward to was bringing home our baby girl, Seth starting preschool, and just enjoying my home. Now everythings changed and it is extremely stressful and scary!!
I think the unknown is a bit of a thrill... But I don't like to see it coming. And I don't like to dwell on it. Surprises are the best!
