I grew up in the back woods of Tennessee. Literally the country. When I was younger I dreamed of living in the city. I wasn't much of an outdoor person. I hated the bugs, the heat, basically being outside the house.
I was thinking about this last night. Before my walk with my dad last night we went to check on our horse, Bella. We tie her up in some fields behind our house so she can graze. Anyways, while dad was working on that I decided I wanted to climb a
tree. I don't know if I ever really did it when I was younger. So dad took a picture as I started to climb. Silly huh but I really liked it. It has taken my almost 27 years to embrace the country. Does it mean I want to always live in the country and never any where else. Heck No but for now I enjoy it and might always. As for walking with my dad I love it. Everyday after work I go walking with my friend Nina and her cute and kind daughter Penelope (she rides in the stroller and eats her snacks). We walk a little over 3 miles and I really enjoy this time. It is good exercise and even better I enjoy being social. Then on Tuesdays, Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays I go walking with my dad. I will come home from Nina's house, grab a quick bite to eat then me and dad will go walk. We have been doing 4 miles. Many of you are now wondering, wow, I bet she has lost weight, and we all know I have a lot to lose. Nope, not a pound. Maybe I shouldn't bother since it doesn't help but I will try to keep it up. I have to tell myself I am healthy on the inside. Too bad people don't see things that way, especially boys!
