3 weEKs DowN....EteNiTy tO Go

Today is our 3 week marriage anniversary. And yes I am just sappy enough to post about it. Because being married is fun and I like to share this with all of you! I like being married way more than I thought I would. I knew I would like it but I didn't know how much.
I kinda figured since I work full time I wouldn't want to have to be the wife to come home and do those "wifely things" namely cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. I even thought maybe I resented the thought of having to do any of that. But to be quite honest, I love doing the wifely things. Yes my day is busy. I wake up before the sun comes up. I leave for work around 6am. I work all day and get home around 4:30-5, then I straighten up anything that may need to be done which shouldn't be a lot but sometimes it is, then Brent comes home, I talk to him a bit, I start dinner while he starts to study, if needed I do any other necessary chores, laundry etc, then we eat, I clean the kitchen, he studies, and sometimes I hang out at home and sometimes I go to the store, or to James and Kara's, or whatever. And I really do love doing these things. I love serving Brent, not in a subserviant type of way but in a how do you show your love to others, you serve them. And he is so appreciative and offers to help. I also know that with school he is busy and he is doing his best not only for himself but for me as well. And he serves me as too.
He is a very affectionate person. I love this about him. My love language is physical touch so it works well for me and his is quality time so it works well for him. When we are sitting near each other I almost always get a back rub or a foot massage. He starts my car for me every morning so I don't get cold. He says thank you! We have a little notebook that we write to each other in. I love that we will always have this and our kids will have it and so on. Well anyways, he wrote just this week how much he appreciates everything that I do. From going to work everyday to support us to the small things like starting the dishwasher.
I know, I know, so many of you read this and say things such as newlywed bliss, I remember when so and so did that for me, but why not just let me assume that this will continue forever. Because it just might. Yes things will change, eventually he will go to work and I will stay home, then there will be kids, and all the other crazy things life gives you but we will be just fine.
Tonight we are going to a Grizzlie game with our good friend Arianne! We love this girl. She is so fun and so nice to take us with her to her game. The seats will be awesome but the company is even better. I'll try to take some pics and post them soon.
We leave for California tomorrow. And no I haven't packed, yes I work tomorrow, and yes I need to get laundry done before I go to bed....guess I'll be up very late tonight.

THE EATON FAMILY

The day everyone came into town we decided to take the opportunity to get a new family picture with all the new additions. There were 5 new people who needed in. So we all got together and took the picture. I love how Beck is leaned into Brent, mom's hand is on his shoulder, and his hand is on mine. Oh, I love this man.

What's in a Name?

Apparently everything. Changing your name on things can be quite the daunting task. A new drivers licence, social security card, insurance, banking information, etc. There are a lot of places that need to see you in person, during business hours (which happen to be my work hours), holding a copy of your certified marriage certificate, and whatever else they may or may not want you to have. It's pure madness trying to change you name. I think I'm a lot closer to having it done now. The drivers licence is taken care of, the social security card (I'm waiting for it in the mail), I've been to the bank, to Brent's bank to add me on to his account, I've called and set up my insurance in my new name, I've changed my beneficiary on all documents, so I am assuming that I am about done.
I'm getting use to having a new name. I actually really like it....Sandra Marie Adamson. I just works for me.
Yesterday after work I was suppose to go have my dress fitted for Jenn's wedding in Jackson so I set up my dinner night with Kristen and Chrystal too. The dress fitting got canceled but the dinner was still on. So I had a great time with these ladies. Then I headed over to the Griffiths so Christine could show me how to submit my final grades for the online class I've been teaching. Since it was going to be a late night I spent the night at mom and dads. And since my dress fitting got moved until today, I plan to just stay in Jackson again tonight. It's a good thing Brent and I aren't clingy. It wasn't even weird staying at mom and dads or not staying with Brent. It actually felt really normal. Guess I was doing it just a few weeks ago. Gotta love how busy life is.

Well, I am officially married and it's been almost 3 weeks. 3 weeks of wedding bliss. It's been great and easy so far. I've tried to blog it 3 times now but for some reason I can't finish it.


My sealing day was absolutely perfect. I was surrounded by those that I love the most! All my family was there, Brent's family, and all my best friends. I could not have asked for more. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of love that day not only Brent loving me but all the others as well. My professional pics aren't done yet.....but here are some from my friends cameras. Again, I am blessed.

My dress was perfect. It was more than perfect. It was love! I love this dress. No one will ever have a dress exactly like mine. It's a Candice orginal. Candice, you are one of the most talented people I know. Thank you so much for this. Thank you for the dress, all the time you put into it, and for finding me the perfect jewlery. I love it so much. My wedding day, reception day, would not have been the same without you there!

Wedding Day

It finally happened! I found and married my best friend, Brent LeGrand Adamson, on November 24, 2010. It was a perfect day. The weather was beautiful. The Temple was perfect and I couldn't have been happier to be marrying the man of my dreams surrounded by our families and some of our dearest friends. I loved kneeling across the alter, staring at my best friend, the person I get to spend eternity with! My dress was perfect, thanks to my best friend Candice Knox. She also got me the jewelry that I wore that day. Charity did my hair and make-up and of course she did a fabulous job. KaraJo took our pictures and I can hardly wait to get them back.

It is so beautiful being pulled through the veil by the person you have chosen to spend eternity with. It is a peaceful feeling knowing that you have someone to continue your journey with!

Brent is a truly amazing man. He is patient, gentle, motivated, funny, and just perfect for me. Proof to everyone that Heavenly Father does know what is best for us. I'm so lucky that we made the choice to love each other. I don't believe in falling in love because love is a choice. And everyday I wake up I choose to love him. Thank you everyone for making my sealing day so special and my reception perfect as well!

Mom- You are amazing! I am so blessed to have you! You worked so hard to make things just right for me. And of course you accomplished it. It was all beautiful. But my favorite memory of you that week is you sitting beside me in the sealing room. I loved having you next to me. I love you and am so grateful for all that you do for me.

Dad- You being across the room in the sealing made things perfect. I loved looking up and seeing you there. I loved dancing with you at my reception. I love you so much. Thank you!

Renee and Jake- Renee' you helped so much. You went to work the night before, still managed to show up early and you looked absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for the candy bar and for helping with everything. You are an amazing woman who I appreciate! I think when it comes to your family the thing I will remember most about November 24th is Aubree knocking me to the ground. It was awesome! I love it....it's so Aubree.

Mike and Amy- Most importantly, thank you for traveling 2000 miles to see me sealed to Brent. It really wouldn't have been the same without all ya'll there. I loved looking around the sealing room and you both sitting there. Mike, the food was amazing! Thank you! I am so lucky to have a family that is also my friends. Amy, I can't wait to see all the pictures you took!

James and Kara- Kara, you are an amazing photographer. I am so anxious to see the pictures from the temple and the reception day! I am loving living close to ya'll! It's nice having friends so close. Thanks for everything. Ya'll are wonderful.

Beck- You made the journey to TN to see me sealed! That in itself is amazing. I've always considered you one of my best friends. I am so glad to be in the same family as you. Even when we don't see eye to eye. My day would not have been perfect without you being there.

Charity and Robert- Charity, my hair was amazing, my make up was too. You are so naturally talented when it comes to hair! Thank you for sharing that talent with me even though I know your finger was hurt! I love you two! I loved having my whole family in the sealing room.

Mendez family- Wow, you all came. You made the trip. You were here and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. It was the way it was suppose to be. You can't be sealed without your whole family being present so I'm glad ya'll made it. Vicci, my cake was perfect and amazing! It was gorgeous. Thank you so much for flying to TN, for making my cake, and for being my second family. I love you guys.

Adamson Family- So I don't know ya'll that well but I do know that you are amazing people who I love. I love that you raised a son who is kind and loving. I have been told by a few how lucky I am to have such great inlaws and I completely agree. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better over Christmas and forever after.

Candice Knox- You are my girl! My dress was so amazing, so perfect, so I don't even know where to begin to describe it. I felt like I was out of a fairytale and you made that possible. Thank you so much. I will never be able to do anything like that for you. You have been blessed with an amazing talent and you were kind enough to share it with me. Thank you so much! I love having you as a best friend.

Laura Welchly- You are hilarious. I'm so glad you came and kept me sane a few times....enough said.

Lindsay Bratsman- I'm lucky to have friends who are willing to leave their kid at home and come spend a few days in TN just for me. It wouldn't have been the same without you in my sealing!

Anne Zobell- You are an amazing crazy woman! Thank you for all that you did for me leading up to the big day, on the day, and all the days that have followed.

Brenna McCree- I'm so glad you caught the bouquet! You were actually one of the last that I expected to get it. It makes me laugh to think about it. My parties were amazing. You are amazing! Thank you for being such an awesome friend.

Ernestine Hayes- I'm so glad we are in the same ward now. I love you! You are such a great friend. Thank you!

Carrie Knox aka Momma Knox- Thank you so much for sharing your talent and more importantly for loving me! I am blessed to have you in my life! I hope you know how much I love you!

Gina Waddoups- You came, you kept my mother sane, you did so much for me. The centerpieces were gorgeous! They truly were perfect. I loved them. Thank you for leaving your family home and for coming to celebrate with me!

I'm sure I am leaving people out. But I love ya'll too. Like I said, it is an overwhelming feeling when you look around the sealing room and see so many people who love you and support you and who will always be there for you. I hope I never forget that feeling. The feeling of complete love that you all made possible.
